i am a feminist. i wear fluttery dresses and clingy clothes. i wear lingere. i wear long skirts. i wear lacy blouses. i even wear high heels sometimes.
b. i patronize lots of businesses owned by men. it would be hard not to with convenience stores, getting gas, grocery stores, restaurants, etc.
c. i don’t do blogs, forums, (i do write for an ezine called oraculartree.com)
d. i don’t drive a motorbike but i might someday. i would ride on the back if my boyfriend or hubby had one. sounds like fun.

I’m NOT a feminist but here is what I think the answer is: (nor to I agree with them for the most part)
a) because dressing pretty means they won’t be taken seriously (how little they know)
b) because they only want to support women in businesses not men
c) the only place they can get attention is my guess
d) to appear tough? or maybe be taken more seriously?
I have to say when I worked in a company of all women and trust me I will not ever do that again yikes. The women who acted the “toughest” like you know b-ll busting did so to act like what they thought a man would instead of just being themselves and making smart decisions. They were so annoying I worked with men too and trust me by far they are so much easier to work for than a b-ll busting woman. Though I have worked for women who did not act that way and they were just like the men business minded using their brains and not some image.

My high school’s feminist club has 7 members.
0/7 wear solely work/practical clothes.

5/7 are active online with blogs, forums, ezines and such, as a consequence of us being Generation Y.
0/7 drive a motorbike.

feminists don’t do these things for the most part. Where do you meet these women? I have never been around a faminist who drives a motorcycle or patronizes only women owned businesses…nor who wears only work clothes. I am curious as to what country you live in and how many women you know.
Many people of all types are active online today.

a) I wear practical clothes when I do practical things, which takes up most of an average week in my life. The only time I don’t wear practical clothes is when I: 1. work out, 2. go to karate class, 3. swim, and 4. dance.
b) I don’t have time to concern myself with that.
c) What else is there worth doing online? Looking at ****?
d) I don’t even know how to drive a car yet, much less a motorbike.
But then again, you’re not exactly given to reason.

Actually I don’t know of very many feminists who do all of those things . B is probably the one most feminists do in great numbers but as for the rest I think it is more difuse.
Besides I do A C and D and i am an active anti feminist.

a) *looks at clothing* I’m wearing dickies pants, a grey tank top and a volcom sweater. I wouldn’t call those work clothes or practical clothes; I call them typical adolescent attire. As I am just barely out of my teens, this seems appropriate.
b) I’m in college. Much as I would like to shop at independent book stores and organic food places, the two places I shop the most are Safeway and Target. Both companies are owned by men.
c) Like Rio said, there’s nothing better to do on the internet.
d) I have a bike, again, because I’m in college and can’t afford insurance or gas.

I’m just guessing so here it goes….
a) Women wear work/practical clothes so that they don’t draw unnecessary attention to themselves at work.
b) Patronize only the businesses owned by women because they can and they have a choice.
c) They are active online b/c they enjoy communicating and interacting with others.
d) They drive a motorbike b/c their mom doesn’t know that they do and hasn’t made them get rid of it yet!
